Obituary
Cindy Kay Gatrost, 53 passed away on March 2nd in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, but lived most of her life in Colorado. She recently moved to this area to enjoy the beach and spend time with her daughter and grandchildren. Cindy was a retired rural carrier for the US Post Office. Cindy loved spending time with her family and treasured every moment with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold (Tuff) Gatrost and Doris Gatrost and her sister Susan Hald.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son Jacob (Neesa) Gatrost and her daughter Katelyn (Scott) Self. Her brother Dennis Gatrost and sisters: Vicki Rios, Sheri Swift, Deb Ellis and Terri Ferrel. Her pride and joy, her beloved grandchildren: Gage, Austin, Jakoby, Julyan, Willyam, Whyatt, Dallas, Darengur and Lyllie.
For all of her family and friends, there will be a Celebration of Life held at Johnny’s Navajo Hogan on March 17th, at 3:30pm. The address is 2817 N Nevada Ave. Colorado Springs, CO. 80907. The family asks that you please wear bright colors, Broncos, or butterflies to commemorate her life.
The only thing bigger than Cindy’s personality was her heart. Although her life was short, she lived the Highlife.
