On Monday, June 5, 2017 Dean Stafford Warren passed away with his wife Susan by his side.  He died at 90 years of age at his home in Altamonte Springs, Florida.  Dean was born on April 16, 1927 in Rochester, New York. The son of Dr. Stafford Leak Warren and Viola Lockhart Warren.  One of three siblings, older sister Jane Warren (deceased) and his younger brother Roger (Dodge) Warren.  A Navy veteran, Dean served in WWII and witnessed the nuclear tests at Bikini Island.  Dean graduated from UCLA, and attended graduate school at the London School of Economics and Harvard.    Dean married Susan Arnold on September 2, 1967.  Dean sold aircraft in Southeast Asia, served in the State Department, and capped his colorful career as Strategic Planning Director for Martin Marietta. At times, he was a resident of New York, Washington DC, California, and Florida and was well traveled.  Dean was a life-long Democratic supporter, advocate for action on global warming, and extremely knowledgeable on current affairs, US/world politics, and history.  He performed extensive research, contributed many letters to the editors, and gave frequent presentations on these topics. Dean published several science fiction novels and memoirs documenting his fascinating adventures.  Dean and Susan have two sons; Roger Stafford Warren who is to wed Heather Howell on July 16, 2017 and Guy Lockhart Warren who is married to Stephanie Nicole-Miller Horine.  A memorial service may be announced later.
