We are saddened to hear of Don's death. He and Brenda were good friends and neighbors while we were at Louisville. Don taught me how to barbecue chicken on a Weber. Margie and Brenda had to eat the burnt offerings. We have lost a good one.

Don and the Harris family were an important part of my teenage years- babysitting Tom and Jennie as well as dog sitting. Don's advise to me when I left for college still resonates with me today.
He was a breath of fresh air to a small town church.

While I just got to know Don in recent years, I was struck by his generous spirit and kindness. Laced with a great sense of humor, he was clearly smart and capable, my experience with him was that he was selflessly focused on the well being and support of other people. I feel honored to have known him.
