Obituary

Henry D. Williams, 83, of Orlando, FL, passed away on April 28, 2017. Henry was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 9, 1934.

 

He married Mary Gail O’Donnell on May 26, 1956 in Kingsland, Georgia. He worked as a project engineer for Martin Marietta until retirement.  He was a veteran and served in the United States Air Force.  Henry, also known as Will, Hank, or Big Daddy was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  His family was his first love.  Henry was an active outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking.  Just following retirement he hiked the Appalachian Trail.  He was active in a variety of youth activities with his children including Boy Scout troop 76 and the Central Florida Boy Scout Council.  Henry was actively involved with clean lake water initiatives in his area.  In March of 2017 he celebrated 25 years as a dedicated Florida Trail Association member.

 

He is survived by his four children, Col. Robert D. Williams and his wife, Victoria; daughter Kathryn (Missy) A. Stich and her husband Tom; daughter Bonnie G. Williams; daughter Holly A. Maszy.  Also surviving are his brother Robert Williams (Linda) and his sister Marlene Marsch (Ron).  His Grandchildren, Emillye James (Wes), Carolyn Stich, Thomas Stich (Sophia), Taylor Stich, John Stanley, Jonathan Maszy, Jason Stanley, Daniel Maszy.  Great Grandchildren, Will James, Hadley James, Brooks Stanley, Sofia Stanley.  Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Margaret Williams and his wife, Gail Williams.

 

 

Mass, followed by a Celebration of Life will be 11:00 am, May 13th at

St. Jude Maronite Catholic Church.

 

In liu of flowers gifts in memory of Henry may be made to the Florida Trail Association.

    Our 'Big Daddy' will be dearly missed. He was a very cherished, loved and respected man. I know he is at peace and dancing with Mimi in heaven right now. May we all aspire to be as good as he was.
