Obituary

Ira Benjamin Frucht, passed away peacefully at home February 15, 2017 with his devoted wife Lily of 47 years by his side after a long and courageous battle with ALS. He was born to Alfred and Lillian Frucht and raised in Brooklyn, NY before moving to South Florida in 1979.  A dog lover throughout his life, Ira and Lily raised and bred Rottweilers for many years and enjoyed an active role in the dog community.  Ira was an avid fisherman and a great lover of music. Later in life he developed a passion for the stock market and became a successful private analyst and investor.  Blessed with loving family members and many wonderful friends who enjoyed his sense of humor (and was disappointed by some family during the final years of his illness, but the paternal side more than made up for it) he shared his big heart and kindness generously.  As per his wishes, he did not want a funeral, but that kindness be shown to someone in need.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to the ALS Foundation.

Instead of flowers, the family would prefer if you would make a donation to
ALS Foundation

Each day we are reminded of you dear friend because your memory is woven throughout nearly every part of our lives. All that we did together, over so many years, even the simplest things. All of the laughs and all of the cries that we shared will keep you forever in our hearts. I miss your voice and knowing that you are as close as the phone....rest well my friend, we love you.
