I'm just a customer but when I found Rick Beck to fix my appliances
i felt like I had hit the jackpot! It didn't take him long to diagnose the problem and fix it. But even more than that, he was such a great guy. I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers to all his family.

It was about 1973 or so, when I first met Rick. He became one of my closest friends as time went on. I considered him to be like a brother to me. We shared some great moments together, as the years passed. Rick was quite talented, in many areas. He loved flying, and had gotten his private pilot’s license before getting a license to drive a car! I enjoyed the few times he asked me to go with flying. He loved to take photographs, and had a very good eye for taking great shots. He had moved to Chicago for a while, then came back home to Penna again. He also moved to the roaring fork valley, down the road from Aspen, CO, in the small town of El Jebel. I remember it like it was yesterday, as I drove my 1962 Ford Falcon all but 2000 miles to visit him, back in 1982. It was not long before he came back to Penna, as his father was ill, and he helped take care of him, as I recall. That was probably one of the most difficult times in his life. I could go on and on with my memories of Rick, but I’d need about one hundred pages or so! I know I cared for Rick quite a lot, like I said; he was like a brother to me. I did not realize how close he felt about me, until one day when I visited him before he moved to FL. He opened his wallet, and pulled out a picture of me. My mom gave him that picture a long time ago, and I suppose that picture may still be in his wallet today. I’m going to miss you so very much Rick. Fly with the angels my friend!

I knew Rick only as a customer of his business, where I found him to be an exceptionally honest, knowledgeable and reliable craftsman. He also had a soft-spoken gentlemanly quality which is all too rare these days. It is a mystery to me why lives so well lived are too often cut short. My condolences to his family and friends.

There are very few people who can compare to Rick when it comes to honesty, integrity, and sincerity. He touched my life in a special way and I will never forget his kindness. I am deeply, truly sorry for your loss and for all of us who will miss him terribly.

I met Rick in the early 70's when he lived in Neffsville. I remember the motorcycle in the halls of Lancashire Hall and the times we went flying. What a great guy. He was fun loving and a prankster just like his brother Paul. I will miss him.

Mr. Beck was the first local businessman I called when I had a problem with an appliance. I was so impressed with the service and his honesty. He went above and beyond for me in finding a discontinued part. I'm so sorry for your loss. It's also a huge loss for our community. Rest in peace.

Mr. Beck was the first businessman I had occasion to call once I moved here. What I found was an extremely nice, honest man. The last time he did work for me he called a few weeks after saying he was able to locate a part that had been discontinued. I was amazed he had still pursued finding it. I was so saddened to read of his passing. I'm so sorry for your loss. It's also the loss of our community. He will be missed.
