Obituary
Jack Ray McCameron
1950 – 2025
Jack Ray McCameron, 75, of The Villages, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born in Thayer, Missouri, to Jack and Betty McCameron and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family and friends.
Jack spent his career with GTE and Verizon, where his hard work and integrity earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike. After retiring in 2003, he embraced the joy of retirement by doing what he loved most — spending time with his family, being on the golf course, sharing stories, enjoying the sunshine, and dancing on friends’ doorbell cameras.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Deborah McCameron; his sons Chad McCameron (Cheryl) and Ben McCameron (Rachel); his cherished grandchildren Alex, Carly, Sam, and Cooper; and his beloved great-grandson Russell, and brothers Bill (Carin) and Joe (Kathy). Jack’s love for his family was unwavering, and his warmth, humor, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church located at 250 Avenida Los Angelos, The Villages, FL 32162 on January 17, 2026, at 10:30 am with lunch to follow. You will always be my superhero.
