Robert “Bob” W. Petrina passed away on September 4, 2023

Bob was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 14, 1939, to George and Anne Petrina. He attended Wilkinsburg High School followed by the University of Wyoming where he played football. Bob married the love of his life Bev in 1984.

Bob retired as the Vice President of Operations from Rockford Bolt and Steel in 2007. He also worked for Heppenstal Steel in Pittsburgh. Prior to entering private employment, he served four years in the United States Air Force, spending time in Biloxi, San Antonio and Darmstadt, Germany. Throughout his life, Bob was an active participant in Kiwanis Club, Special Olympics, New Covenant United Methodist Church and The Rockford Club where is spent time as President.

Bob (Pap Pap) is survived by his wife Bev; three sons and daughters-in laws, Bob and Jen, Tom and Sandi, Jim and Jan; Nine Grand Children, Ryan and wife Katherine, Kyle and wife MacKenzie, Erik, Emily, Maddie, TJ, Jillian, Kate and Grace; Three great grand children, Richmond, Sutton and Hannah; Two Brothers Dennis and wife Debby; Nephew Chad, Ronald and Niece Amy. He is preceded in death by his son, Brian.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 9:30am on Friday October 20, 2023 at New Covenant United Methodist Church, 3470 Woodbridge Dr., The Villages, FL 32162. A coffee reception will follow immediately. At 2pm there will be a Military Committal Service at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102^nd Ave, Bushnell, Florida 33513.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Pastors Benevolence Fund, New Covenant United Methodist Church, to support church members in need.
