Obituary
Mary (Good) Kinter, 87, of Hernando, Florida, passed peacefully on September 11, 2023.
She was born in Whitley County, Indiana on September 11, 1936, to Mervin and Marie (Ruggles) Good. She graduated from Colon High School and married her high school sweetheart Lawrance Nelson Kinter in 1953. They went on to have five children.
As many know, Mary was incredibly kindhearted and thoughtful. She was known for her spitfire personality and beautiful heart and brought joy and laughter everywhere she went.
Despite having a large family, she made time for everyone and made them feel special. She was a daughter, sister, wife, loving mother, and grandmother. Her children were her pride and joy. She spoke with them every day. After retiring from a successful career with State Farm Insurance she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, gardening and reading, Even as she got older, she was energetic, determined, ambitious, and still highly competitive at cards! She was a longtime member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist.
Mary is survived by her children, Lou Anne Bunting, Debora Longenecker, Valerie (Robert) Beland, Melissa (John) DeVore, Lawrance (Cindy) Kinter, Jr.; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and many loving relatives. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrance and granddaughter, Kristi Lee Payne.
A graveside service for the family was held October 7, 2023, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lakeland, Florida.
