Dub was my Uncle and I completely understand Nancy how you feel . Please know you being named after his sister and my mother has always made you so special to me. I met Brian at your Great grandfather’s funeral- Chappy - and we agreed to keep in touch and have not. I was so blessed to meet you and your mother during a visit at your home when I turned 18 . I have never forgotten it. Following Chappies funeral your father never spoke with me again or met my family. I made multiple attempts to reach out as he was a good man when he was married to your mother to me . There was never a doubt he loved his family and he was a very hard working man . I will forever be grateful he was able to share my mother memories with me. But sometimes life changes and so do relationships. He meant the world to me when I was young and I hope he went on to have a wonderful life.

Dub was not only my first cousin , he was my best friend. Growing up and after he came home from the Navy., we spent a lot of time together, like swimming on Thanksgiving Day when he slipped on the ice on the steps geting down to the lake. We had a lot of funand did lots of crazy things, that caused my parents a lot of worry. RESP IN PEACE DUB.
