Obituary
Samuel Eugene Fox, 68 years old of Ocala, Florida went to be with his Lord on October 30th, 2023. Sam was born in Battle Creek, Michigan to Gerald John Fox and Alma Henschel-Fox on August 15th, 1955. His family moved to Frostproof, Florida as a young boy and he graduated from Frostproof High School in 1973. Sam enlisted in the Air Force during the Vietnam War that same year. Sam continued his education and obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
He passed his boards and became a C.P.A.
Sam had many interests which included radio-controlled airplanes, wood making and especially golf. He was an avid dog lover and was known as “Summer’s Dad”.
Sam married his wife Elaine in 1998 while living in New York. They lived there until 2017 when they moved to “On Top of the World”.
Sam is survived by his wife of 25 years, Elaine Fox, his mother-in-law Edna Felsman, sisters Ginger Kendrick and her family, sister Dianna Vaughen and her family and brother Gerald Fox and his family, brother-in-law Derek Felsman and his family, his stepchildren Matthew Milhit and his family, and Melissa Milhit-Marr and her family.
Sam is preceded in death by his parents Alma and John Fox, stepfather Howard Smith, brother Richard Fox and sister Mary Fox.
There will be a celebration of life on November 18th, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Lodge in On Top of the World, Ocala, Florida. A military service and burial will be held on November 20th, 2023, at Bushnell National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
