Obituary
Susan Elayne DiGiovanni passed away peacefully on Wed, May 8, 2024 at the age of 77 in her home in Longwood, Florida. Susan was the daughter of Anne and Fred DeFilipps, and she is survived by her twin sister Sandra McCracken, and younger sisters Patricia DeFilipps and Karen O’Kelley. She is former wife of Ted DiGiovanni, and is survived by children Dallas and Christopher DiGiovanni. She also leaves three grandchildren: Joshua and Noah DiGiovanni, and Sarah Smith. Her great grandchildren include Joshua’s children: Aiden, Alex, and Alayna. She is predeceased by her parents, sister Camille Miller, and son Dominick DiGiovanni.
Susan was born in Trenton, New Jersey on January 28, 1947, and moved to Florida in 1959. She attended Winter Park High School and studied business at Orlando Junior College. Susan was a talented hairdresser and owned several hair salons in the Central Florida area, including Oh Susanna, Fox & Hounds, Everybody’s Hair, and PHD Precision Hair Design.
Susan enjoyed cosmetology, watercolor painting, and spending time with family and friends. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be remembered for her quick wit and fun-loving personality. Susan was also a religious person and had a kind and compassionate nature.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at Annunciation Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs on Wednesday, May 29 at 10:00 am.
