Obituary
Charles Patrick Maloney (Charlie), 69, of Port Orange, FL passed away on December 26, 2015 at the Halifax Health Medical Center, Port Orange. Charlie was born on June 4, 1946 in St. Petersburg, FL to the late Thomas E. and Elizabeth (Hawkins) Maloney. Early in his life, he worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator in New Jersey. Then, moving the family to warmer climates (the choice was Florida or California), Florida prevailed. He co-founded an Aluminum Company with longtime friend Carl Rauscher. He continued to work in Aluminum and other related projects until he returned to the field of Heavy Equipment that he started with earlier in his life, but this time in a much warmer climate. Charlie loved fishing, the warm Florida weather, and enjoyed spending time on his land. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Lynn O. Maloney. Additional survivors include his son, Charles Maloney (Becky); his daughter, Tracey Ciuffreda (Michael); his brothers, Tommy (Jill), Jimmy (Madelyn), and Johnny Maloney, and Joe Carlino (Heidi); and his grandchildren, Kristin, Kelsey, & Kassidy Maloney, and Ayla Ciuffreda. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be scheduled in the near future. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Charlie to the American Cancer Society, 1737 N Clyde Morris Blvd #140, Daytona Beach, FL 32117.
