Veteran Funerals in Sarasota, FL

Sarasota Veteran Burials by Baldwin Brothers

Serving our great nation is one of the greatest sacrifices that individuals make when becoming part of the United States Military.  At Baldwin Brother's Cremation Society we recognize that due to the sacrifice made during service to our country, one should be bestowed with the highest honors when making the transition from this world to the next.  As a funeral home dedicated to our veterans, we offer veteran burial services in the Sarasota area.

The Sarasota National Cemetery is a 295-acre facility administered by the United States Department of Veteran Affairs and is the sixth national cemetery established in the state of Florida.  This location is now expected to hold over 10 burials per day for the next ten years as veterans of World War II and Korean War pass away.  We recognize the demand to be buried with honor in this national cemetery and are committed to providing our veterans with the funeral that they fought and died for during their commitment to the armed forces of the United States.

As with all national cemeteries, there are requirements that must be met to be able to be honored on this sacred ground.  All those who died during active combat and those who completed their tours of duty with anything other than a dishonorable discharge are eligible to be recognized and buried in the Sarasota National Cemetery.  In addition to those who have served, spouses, widows, and widowers are also eligible for burial alongside their loved ones.  Minor dependent children are also eligible, and, under certain circumstances, unmarried adult children with disabilities are also eligible to be laid to rest alongside their beloved veterans in the Sarasota National Cemetery.

Those who have served the United States, regardless of branch of service, deserve the proper burial that they fought and died for either during active duty or after that period has passed.  Baldwin Brothers Cremation Society recognizes this and offers these burial services via our SarasotaFort Myers, or North Fort Myers funeral home locations.  We would be happy to discuss the options available to you or a deceased loved one when the time comes.

In addition to those who fought actively, there are certain circumstances where Reserve Forces are also eligible for commemoration in the Sarasota National Cemetery.  If your loved one died during active duty as a reserve in any branch or passed during training for the reserves, they might also be eligible for an honorable burial on this sacred land.  We can evaluate and determine if being buried here is an option for your family member.
