Obituary

Patricia Lee Centers Bair passed away peacefully on September 4, 2019 at her home in Fort Myers, Florida.

A Celebration of Life service will be held from 11-1 on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the Sea Turtle pavilion on Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota Florida.

Patricia was born on June 17, 1940 in Lee City Kentucky to Veechie and Jennings Centers.

After graduating in 1958 from East Clinton High School (formerly known as Simon Kenton) in Lees Creek, Ohio, Patricia moved to Sarasota Florida with her young family.  In 1979, Patricia moved to Durham, NC and worked for Burroughs Wellcome as head of their research data department.  Post retirement, she settled on Lake Hartwell in Westminster, SC. She returned to Florida with her husband in 2018. Patricia loved playing games with family and friends. She loved to travel and collect teapots. She enjoyed charity work and volunteering, especially working with Hospice.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Jennings, and her mother, Veechie. She is survived by her husband, Richard, her children Chuck (Amy) Larrick, Jeri Lynn Larrick, Heather (Phil) Daniels, Theresa (Clayton) Majors, her brothers Phillip and Robert Centers, sister Barbara (Bill) Matthews, five grandchildren Tyler, Alana (Jefferson), Mia, Cody, Spencer and three great-grandchildren,  Aaliyah, Alexis and Aleesha.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America or Hope Hospice (HopeHCS.org)

    Remembering Pat with her sweet welcoming smile and love for all people. She gave generously of her time and shared her faith with members of our women’s circle at Westminster Presbyterian Church. I missed her when she moved to FL but look forward to seeing her again in heaven!

    We lost a dear friend for so many years. We were high school classmates. Pat will be missed by us and many. The memories are many and will not die easily. Through good and bad times we remained close to Pat. Good bye dear friend.
