Obituary

On Tuesday, November 24, 2020, Charles Herman Tetenbaum, loving husband and father, passed away at age 87. Charles was born in New York to Morris and Etta Tetenbaum and grew up in Orlando, Florida.  He was predeceased by his brothers, Oscar Tetenbaum and Stanley Tetenbaum.  Charles received his BA from the University of Florida in 1954 and was a member of Tau Epsilon Phi.  Following his service in the US Air Force, Charles owned and operated businesses and real estate properties in Central Florida. Charles is survived by his beloved and cherished spouse of 65 years, Arlene (Jacobson) Tetenbaum; and his loving children, Terri Siegel (Mark), Ron Tetenbaum (Risa), and Susan Sayfan (Meir Michael); and grandchildren: Hadar Sayfan, Jeff Siegel (Elaine), Gil Sayfan, Claire Siegel (Jonathan), Eric Tetenbaum, Ben Tetenbaum, Julia Siegel, and great-grandson Leo Siegel.  He is also survived by his devoted sister-in-law Helen Tetenbaum and many more extended family members.  Charles enjoyed many deep and lifelong friendships and was also grateful for the more recent friendships made at the Mayflower Retirement Community.

During their retirement, Charles and Arlene enjoyed ocean cruising and traveling in the US and abroad, often with friends and family.  They enjoyed playing golf and bridge.  Charles, in particular, loved playing poker with his grandchildren.  He was known for his friendliness, sense of humor, interest in others, and kind and compassionate spirit.

Memorial contributions may be made to Second Harvest (www.feedhopenow.org) or the charity of your choice. The family sends a special thank you to the kind and caring staff at the Mayflower Retirement Community.
