Obituary

Paul Glendon Thompson, 79, passed into our gracious Lord’s presence on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 surrounded by his children. He was born in Passaic, New Jersey to parents Paul G. Thompson Sr. and Ann Kohan Thompson of Clifton, New Jersey.
Paul attended Clifton High School and Northeastern Bible College. He served in the US Army from 1959 to 1962 as an Engineer Parts Specialist and received a Good Conduct Medal and remained in the reserves until 1965.

He was a loving, dedicated husband to the late Laurette Jane Thompson, a father, a brother, an uncle, a father-in-law, a grandfather, a great-grandfather, and an amazing friend to so many.
Paul worked as a telecommunication installer for Western Electric, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies for many years in which he received multiple technical certifications for installation. He loved camping, fishing, gardening, woodworking, traveling with his beloved wife, and was an avid golfer at The Hideout and The Villages. Paul served as a deacon at the Brookdale Baptist Church in Bloomfield, NJ, and was an active member of churches in Pennsylvania, and most recently at the Live Oaks Community Church in Florida.
Paul resided in The Villages in FL, in Clifton, NJ, in Hillsborough, NJ, and The Hideout, PA.

Surviving are his daughters, Sheryl, Donna, Lauren, and Tammie; his son, Keith; his grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, Monica, Jaclyn, Julie, Michelle, Stephanie, Matthew, Kristy, and Kyle; his son-in-laws, Michael, Mark, Jim, and Roy; his daughter-in-law, Renee; his brother, Robert Thompson; his great-grandchildren Charlotte and Irelynd; and beloved dog, Dusty boy.

Service will be held at Live Oaks Community Church 12070 CR 103, Oxford, Florida 34484 on February 11, 2021 at 2pm. Live streaming will be available https://youtu.be/PF4FMrXtLgs.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Paul’s name to the American Cancer Society or Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice at 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860.
