    I am deeply saddened to learn of Adine’s passing. She was a part of the Piper family for more than 60 years, through her lifelong friendship with our aunt, Florence Gordon. My siblings and I have so many lovely memories of times spent with Adine and “the gang” at our summer home on Wolf Lake, and of more birthday parties, barbecues, picnics and celebrations than we can count. She had a fabulous laugh and an earthy sense of humor, and as a single, independent working woman, she was a positive role model for me. We were delighted when she fulfilled her dream of owning a home in Wolf Lake, next door to Joan. We had one visit after she moved to Sarasota but I wish we had been able to see her recently. Our condolences and deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
