Celebration of Life for Albert Joseph Lalonde, 76, Edgewater FL who died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Hospice of Volusia Southeast Care Center 4140 S Ridgewood Avenue Edgewater FL. Committal will be at Resurrection Park Cemetery in South Burlington, VT.
Albert was born in Elyria, Ohio and came to this area in 1993 from Essex Junction, VT. He served in the United States Air Force in Korea and as a communications and radar instructor. He also worked for IBM retiring after 26 years. At IBM Albert was a design and test engineer during the developmental years of computer hardware. His family remembers his enjoyment and love of fishing on Lake Champlain, hunting with his brother Bill, his grandchildren, traveling and refurbishing old electronics, clocks and radios.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Gretchen, children Albert Lalonde, Jr of Essex, VT, Edward (Kaye) Lalonde of Westford, VT, Chris (Lynn) Lalonde of Dartmouth, MA, Leslie (Paul) ten Hope of Beverly, MA, Glenn Poitras of Williston, VT, Sonia (Nils) Behn of Fayston, VT, brother William “Bill” (Joan) Lalonde of Potsdam, NY, sister Isabelle Gillespie of Toledo, OH and grandchildren Rosa, Michelle, Melanie, Cody, Cameron, Kiely, Jack, William, Trenton, Kiara, Hunter and Hana. He was preceded in death by a brother Edward Trumble.
