Obituary

Albert Lemay was rescued from life on earth, Friday morning, January 12, 2018, in Daytona Beach, FL.  He was born in Methuen, MA on January 18, 1936, son of Albert & Rose (Breton).  He began working full-time at the age of 14, to support his family during The Great Depression.  He retired from the Pepsi-Cola Company, in Methuen, MA to Ormond Beach, FL, after working for decades in the automotive industry.  His dream of living in year-round warmth and sunshine, close to the ocean, fulfilled. He was an amazing son, husband, father, grandfather and friend, having devoted his life to providing for and supporting those he loved.  Al leaves behind the woman who shared his every breath, his wife of 60 years, Charlotte (Robinson).  He also leaves his daughter Rosanne Palombi, and her husband Philip Paul, his daughter Paula Wyman and her husband Mark.  His grandchildren, Amy Petitti & her husband, Christopher, Keith Laurencelle & his wife Pam, Melissa Bonilla her husband Alex, & Kevin Laurencelle.  His great grandchildren, Adriana Petitti, Isaiah Laurencelle, Natalia Petitti, Haylee Laurencelle, Anthony Laurencelle & Rafael Dominguez.  His extended family, Florence Axford, Alan, John & Danny Desmettre, Al & Judy Frye, Ray & Frankilina Michaud, Joe Michaud, Ray & Helen Otis, Joe & Carol Ralston, & Frank Recupero. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a future date. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 NIV)  Jesus said “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”  (John 14:1-3 NIV)

Rosanne and family, I didn’t know your dad Rosanne but did understand through my friendship with you that he was a loving and caring dad, husband and grandfather. I know you will miss him terribly but thank God you were able to share so much time with him and your mom just recently. That is a gift you will always have. God will be very near you as you mourn his loss.

Roseanne, Paula and families, I was very saddened to learn of your Dad's passing. He was such a wonderful and personable man. I have many fond memories of him....spending time at the camp, sleepovers at your house, having him run out for Donuts for breakfast in the morning....and you could see just how much your Mom simply adored him. They adored each other. I'm glad to hear that he was able to live out his last days by doing what he loved. Rest in Peace, Al. You will be missed!!
