Obituary

Albin J. Majdanik, Jr. passed away peacefully at Tidewell Hospice House in Englewood, Florida on July, 9, 2021.  He was born November 28, 1934 in Buffalo, New York. He was the son of the late Albin J. Majdanik, Sr. and Margaret (Michener) Majdanik. He was the oldest of 6 children.  Al served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956 and was deployed to Korea. Upon his return, he was employed by General Motors at the Harrison Radiator Plant in Lockport, New York. He retired to sunny Florida in 1993.

Al was married to Sandra (McCarthy) Majdanik for 33 years. He has a daughter, Michelle (Majdanik) McCarthy, son in law, Joseph A. McCarthy, Grandsons Zachary, Chad (Julia) and Ryan as well as 4 Great Grandchildren, Summer, Malia, Jax and Adella. His siblings are Mark (Pat) Majdanik, Lynne (Majdanik) Rautenstrauch, Robert (Barbara) Majdanik and deceased siblings Elaine (Majdanik) Mourgas and David Majdanik.

Al enjoyed the change of seasons in Western New York and had activities he enjoyed all year long. He was an avid bowler, golfer, boater and snowmobiler. As he would say, he is now at “the big golf course in the sky.”  Final arrangements are by Baldwin Brothers with his final resting place being the Sarasota Veterans Cemetery. Al was proud of his military service and we ask that you show a veteran an act of kindness in his memory.
