Alexander M Harper, 70 of Edgewater passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011. A Life Celebration in his honor will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Edgewater Alliance Church, Edgewater at 11:00am. Pastors Kyle McQuillen and Ron Schafer will be officiating and Jim Story will be singing his favorite song, The Long Black Train. He was born on October 8, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York to Alexander M and Elizabeth Harper. He enjoyed reading, bowling, shuffleboard and playing Bochi. He was a member of Edgewater Alliance Church, American Legion 285, Dolphin Athletic Club, Eagles, Hacienda Veterans and he was past Governor of the Moose Lodge 1835. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Millie; his loving children, Theresa (Chris) Sisco of New Smyrna Beach, Barbara Linton of Edgewater, Jaimie (AJ) Fischer of Edgewater, Alexander (Mary) Harper of New Smyrna Beach, David Harper of Brooklyn, New York, John (Barbara) Donnery of Brooklyn, New York, Brian Donnery of Brooklyn, New York, Beth Donnery of Brooklyn, New York, Steve Minor of Wichita, Kansas, Colleen (Chat) Michaels of Brooklyn, New York; his loving 12 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara McClusky and Ann Donnery Harper.
