Obituary

Alice “Joy” Heffner passed away on the morning of Saturday August 22nd in the year 2020, just at the age of 62 at Florida Advent Health Hospital in Orlando Florida.

Joy Heffner was born on October 14th 1957 at Lying In Pennsylvania Hospital
in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to her proud parents, Eugene and Alice Peale.

She is survived by
her younger brother ; Eugene Chris Peale age 56.
her living mother ; Alice Peale age 91.
Her loving husband; Tom Age 58.

Their three children ; Their firstborn son age 31 David and Daughters ages 28 and 24 Christa and Tiffany her husband Trevor Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Clement & Ruth Birch and Father Eugene Peale.

At the age of 16 she experienced Salvation on October 1973 in a small Assemblies of God Church in Waiting River Long Island, NY. Joy’s faith and love for Jesus Christ was everything to her.

Joy loved life, music and dancing as she enjoyed her childhood.
She attended and graduated Port Jefferson High school in 1976.
Then Graduated from Glassboro State College Dowling in 1982.

Joy met her husband Tom in 1986. They were married on April 18th, 1987 in the town of Haddonfiled NJ where they started out their lives together. They enjoyed 33 years and four months of cherished love and marriage.

She served her last sixteen years in Ministry as an elder of Legacy Life Church and most recently provided child care along with her daughter Tiffany.

Joy was an amazing cook… She was well known for using spices in everything she made.
Her most famous dishes were Curry Chicken, Clams Linguine. She always had fresh batch of chips and salsa for friends and family served with southern sweet tea.

She had a love for teaching and preaching to children, adults.
She will be dearly missed by her friends and loved ones.

In loving memory of Alice “Joy” Heffner her funeral was officiated by Dr. Amar Rambisoon on Friday September 4th at 10:00 am where she was buried at WoodLawn Cemetery in Gotha Florida.
