Alice Strouts, 84, Edgewater, Florida died peacefully Tuesday morning, August 18, 2009 surrounded by her family. Alice was born in Buffalo, New York and worked for many years as a manager at Ames Department Store in Hamburg, New York. She enjoyed travelling with her husband Duane, but mostly cared for and deeply loved her family and grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Duane, daughters Mary (Mark) O’Connell of East Concord, NY, Alice Ann Etter of Phoenix, AZ, son John L Maloney of Blue Ridge, GA, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia Southeast Care Center 4240 S Ridgewood Avenue Edgewater FL 32141. Cremation arrangements under the direction of Baldwin Brothers Cremation Service.
