Obituary
Alyce R. (Becky) Cameron
Age 72, passed away on December 25, 2021 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
Becky was born on July 19, 1949 in Sanford, Florida. She was the daughter of Edward and Mary Cameron.
Becky was a life long resident of Sanford. She moved to New Smyrna Beach in 2003.
She grew up loving the outdoors where she spent most of her childhood on horseback and her teenage years skiing on the St. John’s river. She shared her love of the outdoors with her children and grandchildren. Some of our fondest memories are of spending time camping with her and her teaching her grandchildren how to fish.
Becky loved to travel. Some of her favorite trips were to Thailand, Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean Islands including Cuba.
Sanibel Island was her favorite place. It was her “heaven on earth” where she combed the beach for seashells every chance she got.
For the past few years Becky worked at the front desk at the Islander Beach Resort where she was loved by all of the guests and her coworkers. She received many awards and special recognition from guests. She truly loved working there.
Becky is survived by her sister Evelyn Ewing of Elba, Alabama and her three children, daughter Angelia Tindel-Douglas and husband, Brad Douglas, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; son Steven Tindel and wife Susan of Enterprise, Florida and daughter Melissa Bryant of Savannah, Georgia.
Becky was blessed with 12 grandchildren; Jason Fowler of Lake Mary, Justin Tindel of Winter Garden, Adam Tindel of Lake Mary, Samantha True and husband Ethan of Deltona, Mycaela Bryant and husband Royce Inge of Savannah, Eric Bryant and wife Saleen of New Smyrna Beach, Cameron Bryant and wife Lacie of Pooler, Georgia, Sarah Rebecca Bryant of Savannah, Georgia, Rachel Cossio and husband Alan of Orlando, Tyler Douglas of New Smyrna Beach, Jayden Bryant of New Smyrna Beach and Jaycob Bryant of Savannah, Georgia.
She was a very proud great grandmother of 10, Amelia, Elijah and Ariyah Bryant; Marilyn, Rowan and Chance Inge; Cameron Jr., and Emory Bryant; Charlotte and Rosalie True.
She was predeceased by her mother Mary Rivers Cameron, her father Edward Jackson Cameron, Jr and her brother Joseph Edward Cameron.
A dear friend said it best “Becky didn’t just love her family, she was in love with her family.”

Arlene and I send our hugs and prayers. Becky was one of our favorites at the Islander. We always brought her dessert upon returning from dinner. She was so gracious to everyone. We share your loss...
May you feel the warmth of God's loving embrace with every cherished memory of your dear Becky. God bless!
