Obituary

Born on February 5th, 1934, in Richmond, Virgina. She married Donald Ray McCarter, a member of the United States Air Force in February of 1952.  Amelia spent the first 20 years of her married life following Don around the world. Beginning in Greensboro, North Carolina and ending their Air Force career in Rantoul, Illinois.

After raising six happy, successful children and supporting a military husband (which is far more a career than anyone haven’t lived the life would know) as he served his country she worked as a surgical technician and later sharing her kind, loving, giving self with the elderly in a nursing center environment.

Amelia was always involved with her church no matter her location.

She leaves behind many friends from Crystal Beach, Texas to Murphy North Carolina, then on to Troutman, North Carolina and finally to Daytona Beach, Florida.

She also leaves six very sad, grieving children.
