Obituary

Amy Quillen

October 19, 1968 – January 25, 2025

With heavy hearts, we share the loss of our beloved Amy Quillen, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones and her four-legged babies after a courageous battle with cancer. Amy was born on October 19, 1968, in Orlando, Florida, and her time with us was filled with immeasurable love, boundless kindness, and an unwavering strength that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Amy graduated from high school before moving to Clearwater, Florida, where she met and married the love of her life, Tony, on May 18, 1991. Together, they built a beautiful life, welcoming their children—Ryan in 1993, Zachary in 1994, and Hollie in 2000—who were the center of Amy’s world. Nothing meant more to her than being a mother and a wife, pouring her heart into her family and always making sure they felt loved, safe, and supported.

While raising her children, Amy followed her passion and pursued a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Saint Petersburg College, graduating in 2008. She spent 15 years working in schools where she touched the lives of countless children, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, patience, and dedication. Amy’s gentle spirit and kind heart made a difference every day.

Amy had a love for simple joys—long walks at Philippe Park, the beauty of the mountains, a hunt for a daily treasure, Diet Coke, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Her infectious laughter, kindness, and strength will be missed by all who knew her.

Amy’s life was one of profound love and devotion, and though she is no longer with us in person, her spirit will forever remain in our hearts. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tony; her three children, Ryan, Zachary, and Hollie; her parents, Dan and Bonnie; her sister, Kerrie; her brother-in-law, BJ; her niece, Abigael; her brother-in-law, Ken; her son-in-law, Bryce; daughter-in-law, Lian; and her beloved fur babies, Bailey, Gunner, Kimber, and Barry.

Amy’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 1st at 4:00pm, at her favorite place, Philippe Park. We will gather near the front of the park by the sea wall, surrounded by the beauty she loved. There will be finger foods, drinks, and plenty of sunflowers—her favorite. We invite you to wear teal, blue, or something that reminds you of Amy as we come together to honor her, share stories, and celebrate the life she lived with love, laughter, and grace.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you cherish the memory of Amy, and continue to live with the kindness and love she gave so freely. Amy’s legacy will live on in each of us, in every act of love, every smile, and every cherished moment.

Rest in peace, Amy. You were the light of our lives, and we will carry your love with us forever.
