Obituary

Angel May Prendergast, 66, of Miami, FL passed away peacefully on January 11, 2022. Angel was born in Miami, FL on November 25, 1955 to Sonia May (Barras) Prendergast and William E. “Red” Prendergast. Angel graduated from Carol City High School and received certification as a healthcare professional. She worked for many Dade and Broward County hospitals and doctors over her career. Angel was awarded with a certificate for her quick thinking, which saved a patient’s life, just before her retirement from Memorial Healthcare.

Angel was a proud mother and a beloved Nana. She took an active part in raising her grandchildren and was a caring Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is adored for her endless devotion.

Anyone who knew Angel, knew she was a loyal, accepting person, opening her life and home to the blended family she felt so blessed with. In addition to the people in her life, Angel cared for and received great joy from her furry children. Her kitties were among the greatest joys in her life.

Angel was a true friend and had many friends from all walks of life. She cherished the connections she made with people and found something positive in everyone.

Angel enjoyed music; gospel, motown, and classic rock and loved her collection of frog figurines. She enjoyed watching medical shows, and was known to love a good barbecue.

She dearly loved the Huber, Guggino and Townsel families which became part of her own early in life and continues today.

Angel also had special friendships which were dear to her in Maeda, Marva, Ava, Clara, Debbie, Diane, Linda.

Angel is preceeded in death by her parents and two siblings, Cheryl Ann Prendergast and Patrick Paul Prendergast and niece Nichole (Nikki) Prendergast.

Angel is survived by twin sons, Robert and his wife Juli of Deerfield Beach, FL and Nelson and his wife Nicole of Scranton, PA. and son Stanley Huber (Prendergast); siblings John L. Prendergast and Kelly Prendergast; nephew Johnny Prendergast; niece Chas Prendergast; grandchildren, Olivia “Libby” Robbins (and great-granddaughter Bailie), Alice Ashley Prendergast, Marquise Garcia, Robert Prendergast Jr., and Jonathan  Prendergast.

We Love You More Than Bread and Butter.
