Angela Deann Young, 53, of Port Orange, Florida, tragically and unexpectedly went to be with her lord and savior, December 28th, 2022.
She was born May 27th, 1969, in Marshall, Missouri, the daughter of the late Lois Jean Martin. She was the youngest of her two sisters. On June 3rd, 1989, she married her first husband, Todd Alan Harris, with whom they had two children, Amber Leann and Tyler Alan. On October 24th, 2008, she married her second husband, Dennis William Young, in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
Angela had an LPN nursing degree, was a Missouri Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, and Florida and Kansas assisted living administrator. Angela spent 34 years of her life serving and caring for the senior population and many different aspects of senior living and in the health care industry. She touched countless people’s lives throughout the years, including but not limited to, co-workers, employees, residents, and resident family members. “She was a boss, yes, but so much more; counselor, confident, teacher, support, drinking buddy, shopping buddy, and most importantly a genuine person that was there for anyone who needed her, at any time.” Her co-workers would say, “we are family, she is our matriarch.” She will be sorely missed by the entire senior living industry.
First and foremost, Angie loved Jesus with her whole heart. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Memaw/Grammy, Sister, and Friend. She enjoyed caring for and loving those near and dear to her. There was nothing she loved more than spoiling her Children and grand babies. She adored her husband, Dennis, and going on whatever adventure’s life took them on. They enjoyed motorcycle rides together, boating on any body of water, going on cruises, trying new restaurants, visiting family near and far, going to the beach, flying in their airplane, going on golf cart rides, and so much more. In her spare time, she loved doing all kinds of crafting and creating, but never for herself, always for others. She will be deeply missed by Dennis, Tyler, Amber, Austin, all her precious “pumpkin pie” grandbabies, and all her loved ones near and far.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lois Jean Martin, her adopted mother, Una Belle Harms, and her beloved chihuahua puppies, Winston David and Pixie Ann.
She is survived by her husband Dennis, her son Tyler, her daughter Amber and grandson Austin Riley, her son Derrick (Beth) Young and granddaughter Hadleigh, daughter Liana (Matt) Muller and grandchildren Harper, Phoenix, Norah, and Jude, and son Nathan Young. Her mother-in-love Cora Marcks, niece Kyra, her sisters; Janet Samson (Mike), Sandra Wiseman (J.W.), Brother Brad Martin (Kira), and many more extended family members.
Her services and celebration of life will be held on Tuesday January 3rd, at 3pm located at Tomoka Christian Church, in Ormand Beach Florida. 1450 Hand Ave, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. All who like to share in Celebrating are welcome to attend.
Flowers in memory of Angela may be sent to the church for the day of the service.
