Obituary
Angelo S. Dalpiaz, 76, of Edgewater, Florida, passed away on December 22, 2024, following a brief illness. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 14, 1948, Angelo was preceded in death by his parents, Serafino (Joe) and June Lockwood Dalpiaz, and his sister, Emma Dalpiaz DeRosa.
Angelo served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1972, including a tour in Vietnam. After his military service, he dedicated 22 years to law enforcement, serving as a police officer in both South Florida and Tennessee.
A man with a sharp wit and an unforgettable sense of humor, Angelo had a special fondness for telling jokes and sharing stories. He was also a passionate writer, with numerous stories published in magazines and anthologies, as well as the author of a book. A long-time member of the Writing.com community, Angelo made many friends across the globe. His love for travel, particularly to Italy, and his enjoyment of outdoor activities like kayaking and biking throughout Florida, were some of the highlights of his life.
Angelo is survived by the love of his life, his beloved wife of 55 years, Dot; his sons, Jeffrey (Bonnie) and Timothy (Kristen); his grandchildren, Jacob, Sophia, and Harper; his siblings, Joseph, Gene, and June Dalpiaz Glantz, and his cherished cat, Gabby.
At this time, no services are scheduled. Angelo will be missed and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
