Obituary
Anne L. Herbert, 78, of Cape Coral, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018. She was born September 12, 1939 in Lackawanna, PA to Francon and Louise Hughes.
Anne was raised in Princeton, New Jersey. She became the wife of Alfred Scott and they had four children. She worked in many restaurants and catering and at General Motors Fisher Body for 10 years prior to becoming owner of the Village Bar in Trenton, New Jersey. She also obtained her LPN license during that time. In 1987, Anne relocated to Florida and opened Annie’s Restaurant in Cape Coral. Anne was active in her Church and participated in missions to Haiti. Anne and her current husband Steve enjoyed dancing and socializing with their many friends and family. Anne has been honoured with Business Woman of the Year and her restaurant has been voted the best in Cape Coral on multiple occasions. She was an avid golfer, loved music, helping others and anything that made her laugh. Goodbye our beloved Anne, you will live on in our hearts and our minds forever.
She is survived by her loving husband Steve Abbott, children Phyllis and Scott Russell, Alfred and Jean Scott, Laura Britton and Dennis Hagarty, and Linda Wallace and Jim Nutt; grandchildren Jenna Dolbare, Shawn Scott, Amanda Britton, Elise Humphrey, Gregory Scott, Robert Russell, and Joseph “Scotty” Russell Jr.; and great grandchildren Ryan, Lucille and Kai.
She is preceded in death by Francon and Louise Hughes, Tucker Hughes, Stanley Hughes, Alfred Scott Sr., Douglas Herbert.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Faith Presbyterian Church.
Services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018, 11 a.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church, 4544 Coronado Parkway, Cape Coral, Florida 33904. Phone 239-542-2858.
