Obituary
Anthony C. Liotta passed away peacefully at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida on September 21, 2018 at the age of 91. A beloved husband to Gloria, his wife of 64 years and a cherished father and father-in-law to his children, Michael Liotta, Tom & Sharon Liotta, Linda & John Driscoll, and Carol & Scott Shenk. He will be dearly missed by his eight grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and many close friends. Anthony also leaves behind his sister Kay Chiarell of Cape Coral, FL.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Anthony was one of four children born to Eugene & Rose Liotta. He joined the Navy at the age of 17 where he was a Gunners Mate Third Class during WW2. Upon his return he attended John Marshall College/Seton Hall where he earned his Law Degree. He worked in private practice before joining the Department of Justice where he rose from a staff attorney to Assistant Attorney General for the Administration. After 30 years of public service he left the Justice Department and became the Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Clean Sites Incorporated in Alexandria, Va. Anthony retired with his wife Gloria in 1989 moving to the Cape where he pursued his love of golf, boating and the game of Bridge. He was known by all who knew him for his sense of humor, his love of life, and his dedication to his family and friends. He will be missed by many hearts.
Please join us to celebrate Anthony’s life on October 21st, 10:30am at Personal Touch, 1530 Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral, Fl., 33991. The burial will be on October 22nd at Sarasota National Cemetery at 10:30am.
