Obituary

Antoinea “Toni” Love Powell
Toni Love Powell, loving wife and mother, passed peacefully to Heaven on November 4, 2023.  Born on March 9, 1935 to Merrell and Wesley Love, Toni grew up in Nitro, WV with her three siblings Zoe, Zanna, and Darryl.  She met the love of her life, Joe while attending Marshall University.  In 1963 they moved their family to Florida where they have resided for 60 years.  For 24 years, Toni loved working with the kindergartners at Pine Hills and Aloma Elementary schools before retiring and enjoying many adventures throughout the United States in their “beloved” motor home.
Toni is survived by her husband of 70 years, Joseph Dwight Powell, children Penny Madden (Bob), Michael Powell (Nancy), Vicki Billings (Rich), Scott Powell (Lynn) and Marc Powell (Lisa).  Grandchildren Jesse Madden, Joshua Madden, Richie Billings, Emily Pennington, Chelsea Powell, Amy Keil, Tara Powell, Madeline Powell and Veronica Powell and nine great-grandchildren.
She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew and loved her.  We know that she is not just in our past but also forever in our future.  Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-430-1449.  Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com.

So very sorry for your loss. Everyone will have a forever memory of Aunt Toni. One of my first memories was her grilled peanut butter sandwiches she would make for us when we were kids.
