Obituary
On Monday, December 19, 2022, Antonia Virginia Marino, beloved Mother, Grandmother and friend, peacefully fell asleep in death, at home surrounded by family members, at 74 years of age.
The two things she valued above all else were family and her beliefs. She often quoted, ’‘Ohana’ which in Hawaiian means family. She was a woman of faith and one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 47 years. Thirty-seven of those years as a member of the Oxford, MA Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and lately a member of the Edgewater, FL Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She took every opportunity she found to share Bible truths with all whom she met. She also loved telling stories about her many, varied, life experiences.
She was predeceased by her father James Mills, her mother Marian Mills and her older brother Thomas Mills. She leaves behind her two children, Lauren Poper and Tianna Mercier and her husband Thomas Mercier. Three grandchildren John Poper and his wife Bridgette Poper, Victoria Bliss and her fiancee Deante Rodriguez and Colton Bliss and his wife Isabelle Bliss. Three great-grandchildren Greyson Poper, Hadley Poper and Hudson Poper.
A memorial talk will be given on January 4, 2023 at 6pm, for her Florida family at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on 175 Sugar Mill Drive, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168. A second memorial talk will be given for her New England family on February 4,2023 at 2pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on 52 Old Worcester Road, Oxford, MA 01540 with a celebration of life immediately following. Zoom conferencing will be available.
