Obituary
Antonio Rosa Marques, 76, of Fort Myers, passed away July 30, 2019 at Hope Hospice House in Lehigh Acres, FL. Born April 13, 1943 in Portugal, he was the son of Silvino Marques and Gilermina Rosa. Antonio was a highly skilled tailor, working within the clothing industry for many years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed listening to Fados, sewing, designing, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren Andrew and Brianna. He was a man of faith who loved his wife and family, was kind and generous, very hard working, dedicating his life to his family. When they moved to Southwest Florida from Massachusetts they adopted a dog named “Mickey” whom he adored and enjoyed playing and taking walks with. Surviving are his loving wife Maria Alice Marques of Fort Myers, FL., son Antonio Pedro Marques of New Bedford, MA., daughter Ana Emilia Marques (fiance Mike Barselou) of Fort Myers, FL., grandson Andrew Marques DaRosa of Shelton, CT., granddaughter Brianna Marques of New Bedford, MA., his parents Silvino Marques of New Bedford, MA., and Gilermina Rosa Marques of Portugal. Also surviving are 8 siblings, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, Fort Myers, assisted with arrangements.
