Obituary
Arlen Lee Cruttenden, 84, of Bushnell, FL passed away with his loving family around him, Thursday July 19, 2018 in Ocala, FL. Born to Fern and Percy Cruttenden on January 3, 1934 in Sulphur Springs, FL. Arlen graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1952 and attended the University of Florida before joining the United States Army to serve his country. After serving his country, he returned to Tampa to marry the love of his life Lenore B. Cruttenden, who preceded him in death after 60 years of marriage. Arlen put himself through college graduating from the University of South Florida with a Master’s degree in Business. He worked for Tampa Electric Company for 38 years retiring as a Director. He taught Dale Carnegie Courses for years and was a professor at USF, both side jobs for fun. He had a true gift of public speaking and was in high demand to speak at various clubs, events and meetings. He was past President and Lt. Governor of Kiwanis Club in Tampa. Served on the vestry, was a lay reader and head usher for St Mary’s Episcopal Church in Tampa.
Arlen is survived by his daughter, Vicki L. Sanchez of Centerhill, FL; 2-sons, Kenneth A. Cruttenden and wife Valerie, Steven L. Cruttenden and wife Cara; grandchildren, Scott Cruttenden, Madison Cruttenden, Jessica Cruttenden, Colby Wisdom, Connor Cruttenden, Christina Sanchez, Alyssa Sanchez, Robert Sanchez and Anthony Sanchez; great grandchildren, Braden Woolf, TrinityAnn Wolfe and Caidence Wisdom.
Funeral Services will be Saturday July 28, 2018 at 1PM with a visitation one hour prior to service both at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home 11250 SW 93rd Court Road Ocala, FL 34481 with The Rev.
