Obituary
Arlene Kathryn Brummer, 78, of Ft. Myers, FL passed away on December 19, 2019 at Barrington Terrace. She was born on December 31, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late William Bernard Brummer and Kathryn Rose (Sellars) Brummer. She earned her master’s degree from Georgia State University, and her undergraduate degree from Xavier University/Edgecliff. Arlene enjoyed tennis, was an active parishioner at St. John XXIII Catholic Church, volunteered at Six Mile Cypress Slough and was a member of Montage Women’s Club. She was an elementary school teacher for 15 years, and she also worked as a sales representative for 3M. Arlene is survived by her sister, Marilyn Brummer of Ft. Myers, FL; her sister-in-law, Linda Brummer of Sautee Nacoochee, GA; her niece, Becky Hooper of Demorest, GA; her nephews, Brent Brummer of St. Johns, FL and Jeff Brummer of Plant City, FL; her great-nephew, Lt. Brandon Hooper of Lemoore, CA; her great-nieces, Lindsay Hooper and Caroline Brummer, both of Tallahassee, FL; and Sara Brummer of Plant City, FL; and her great-nephew, Brody Brummer of St. Johns, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 10:30 am at St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 13060 Palomino Lane. In lieu of flowers, if you so wish you can make a contribution in her name to St. John XXIII Catholic Church or to your favorite charity. Arrangements are under the care and trust of Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society, Ft. Myers, FL.
