Obituary
Arthur “Bud” C. Lecuyer, 74, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018. He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on April 25, 1943 to Alfred and Rita Lecuyer.
Bud served proudly in the Coast Guard and was on President Kennedy’s Honor Guard. He enjoyed the music of the 1950’s and was a very funny man with a great sense of humor. But he was very serious about his bass fishing. In fact, Bud asked his wife, Donna, out on their first date to go fishing, saying that she should bring her “knitting or a book” in case she got bored. Much to Bud’s surprise, Donna took to fishing the way most fish take to water. Over the course of their 19 years of marriage, Bud taught Donna all the fishing techniques he knew, until her daily catch surpassed anyone else’s in the boat. Needless to say, this sweet and funny man will be forever missed.
Bud is predeceased by his parents, Alfred John Lecuyer and Rita Joanne Lecuyer (nee Cirasella); and by his brother, David Lecuyer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Marie Lecuyer; by his son Dean Lecuyer, and his wife, Joanne; by his son David Lecuyer and his wife, Elaine; by his grandchildren, Deanna, Jason, Josanne and Dacey; and by one adorable great-granddaughter, Violet; his sisters Joy Kinney and Gail Trombly; Aunts Emma Fried and Michelina Lumenello as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
If any memorials for Bud are to be arranged, the services at this time are to be private and at the discretion of his family.
Buddy is with the angels watching over all of you.
Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. May your memories bring some comfort during this difficult time.
