I lived next door to Artie and his family on Sackville Street in Teaneck, NJ. I learned how to drive stick on his English Ford panel truck and drove it up and down his driveway while he was away in Vietnam. I recently connected with him in The Villages when I learned that we both share homes and we reminisced about being “two youths” in NJ. I was sorry to learn of his passing but thankful to have seen him again after so many years. My sympathy to all his family.

Some of my favorite memories growing up were going to Grandpa Arts house by the beach in New Jersey, walking along the beach with his dogs and visiting the shops around the area with him. Just spending time together. I will miss him so much.

Art. To the best boss I could ever have. You taught me so much. I thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas get togethers with Gordon and Manny. I enjoyed all your stories on Facebook. Gone too soon. You will be missed but always remembered. My condolences to his family.

I first met Art after a round of golf sitting at the bar at Palmer drinking martinis
We had an instant friendship. When my wife got sick he ,among many others, held my hand for 3 plus years. I loved having him in my life. He will be greatly missed

Art was the leader of a golf group that I joined in 2019. I am forever grateful for Art's friendship and for enabling me to meet so many wonderful fellow golf friends. No one told long and corny, yet funny jokes like Art. Such an extremely likeable man. I will miss him dearly.

I met Art a few years ago playing golf in his group. Art was always ready for a good laugh or a well placed jab. Art was very well liked and respected by me and all the guys he was around. He will truly be missed

I met Art five years ago when I was invited to join the Monday golf group that he managed. From there he convinced me to join two other separate golf groups on Wednesday and Saturday. Because of Art, my life in The Villages was enhanced by the many wonderful people I get to play golf with each week. Art would always have a joke to share with the group every time we played. I will miss the many wonderful moments we shared on the course.

Thanks for being such a great golf partner Art. From the first day you welcomed me into your group and we had a lot of great rounds together - me driving and you walking for your health. Always a new story to tell. I’ve got some new ones for you - I’ll tell you when I see you again! RIP

I still remember first meeting Art and his long time best friend, Rob at The Friendly Tavern in Redington Shores 13 years ago. How lucky was I when he offered to have me join them to play golf the next day! Little did I know that it would be the start of a great friendship. Many, many great memories of golf trips, the “19th” hole drinks, bar crawls on Gulf Blvd, dinners and nights at The Friendly Tavern. So many good golf stories and fun times. A great guy with an awesome sense of humor. He will be missed. Joe McAnally

Art, you were a great buddy and friend. Loved going out with you for our oysters, food and of course our martini's. I will miss our golfing get togethers and all the fun we had over the past 45 years or so. Hope your doing well in heaven. I know your still telling all your jokes. Miss you.

You are so missed Uncle Artie ❤️ Some of my favorite memories are watching you play Diablo on the computer, sitting out on the deck at night as you told me your made up stories that I would beg you to keep telling even though it was way past my bed time, and of course the boat rides where you’d try extra hard to flip me off the tube. You’d always Facebook message me telling me to do my homework (I wasn’t). You were so funny, you could make me laugh for hours❤️ I love you always Uncle Artie

Art was always open-hearted and generous and friendly towards me, even from my first meeting him in 2006. My first morning in his house he asked me what I wanted for breakfast, and then got up and started making it for me. There was nothing formal about him, unlike other friends' fathers... he was relaxed with me from the get-go, telling me his honest opinions about this and that (sometimes bluntly, but always honestly), and asking mine. He made me feel instantly comfortable. What I'll remember most about him is his fun-loving side, which is rare among successful people-- he had no qualms about liking what he liked and going for it (a cocktail, a golf game, a movie) without guilt. That will always stay with me.

Such a huge loss but so many wonderful memories of all the great times shared over many, many years! Art was always happy, funny, giving and a great example of how to live and enjoy life. I am so glad to have had him in my life for so many years. He will be truly missed. My sincere condolences to his family and friends ❤️

Art was my closest friend for almost 60 years. Totally reliable and extremely funny. I could confide anything in him, and I would never hear it again from any source. Probably the most intelligent person I ever met. All of that aside, I just loved him. I still shed tears over his passing and miss him dearly. He will rest in eternal peace.

I've know Art since I was a teenager. He was a big influence in my life, first by lending me his Opal GT to cruise around in back in 1972, then later by getting me my first IT job. He married into a large family and welcomed all 6 of us, with our families, into his home, anytime. Always ready with a joke, a drink or some sound advice. He will surely be missed by the many friends and family, whose lives he touched.
    RIP, brother.

We miss you every day, dad! You had a smile for everyone and most everyone you met was an instant friend. You were funny, and caring and did I mention funny? Your stories are legendary, and your delivery just as hilarious. In the future, I don't think I'll ever have a martini and not think of you in LBI or in The Villages, not to mention your legendary breakfast sandwiches. Riding as a small child in your tiny red Opal GT with Mom and both Loki and Muffy the cat still cracks me up, but I don't recall feeling anything but safe with you. I hope you are resting easy. There's so many memories! I'll love you, remembering the good times and bad and until my time ends. That's family. Thank you for accepting me as part of yours.
