Obituary
Arthur L. Thyng of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away quietly in his sleep on Aug 19th at the age of 88. Originally from York, Maine, Arthur served in the Army in the Pacific Theater during WWII, returning home to marry Verna, his wife of 67 years. Together they raised 6 children in South Berwick, Maine and New Castle, New Hampshire relocating to Florida in 1984. Arthur was an active Mason and long time member of the First Parish Church, Congregational, in Somersworth, New Hampshire. Arthur and Verna enjoyed traveling and managed to see most of the United States in their motor home. Arthur had a wonderful sense of humor, always wore a smile and was universally loved by all who knew him, keeping his sense of humor to the end. He never met a stranger, and always had a helping hand for anyone who needed one. Arthur is preceded in death by his wife, Verna, and his younger brother, Richard, of York, Maine and his parents John and Marion (Avery) Thyng. He is survived by his children Alan, Larry, Lincoln, Donna, Brad, Jamie, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Interment will be in the National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
