Obituary
Arthur Paul Hilt, 87, of Fort Myers, FL passed away Friday, January 26, 2018. He was born March 13, 1930 in Troy, NY to Arthur and Margaret Hilt.
Arthur was a major in the U.S. Army reserve and served as an Ordinance Officer of the 1122nd Logistics command at Albany, NY. Arthur was retired from the NYS Department of Labor as a Director of Business administration after a 35 year career. His hobbies included going to baseball games, watching baseball, and going to all his favorite local eateries. Art lived for a few years at Discovery Village in Fort Myers and was cared for by the staff and had many friends. In earlier days, Art and his wife Ellen enjoyed travelling to Montreal and attending horse racing in Saratoga, NY, where they lived for twenty years. They also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by Arthur Jr, Gregory (Christine), Jeffrey (Daphne) and David (Darla); as well as three granddaughters and three grandsons.
He is preceded in death by wife of many years and the love of his life, Ellen.
