Obituary

One of the brightest lights in The Villages has been extinguished. AUBREY GARSON slipped away in the early hours of December 29th at The Club Rehab Centre, after a stroke at his home two weeks earlier. Few men have touched the hearts of so many. Aubrey was a true gentleman; he was passionate about words and compassionate towards people. How many of us have his poems and cards stashed away to bring a smile when needed? His affection and fondness for Temple Shalom; The Villages Badminton Club; and The Piano Club, which he founded; is matched only by the friends he made who adored him, too numerous to mention. He is grievously mourned by us – his daughter Linda, son Ray and his wife Sue, grandchildren Jenna, Guy, and Sam; our late sister Dodie’s children, Adam and Lauren; and his first great granddaughter, Poppy Joy. Donations if desired to Temple Shalom. All our lives have been darkened by his passing.

    I knew Aubrey well he was my unofficial Uncle in the Unity Theatre I have only just found about his passing. Lovely man.

    So sorry to hear of your passing. You made my dad Arnold smile and laugh. He always shared your greeting cards with me. He passed on Dec 4th 2019. I can just imagine the conversations you will have. Rest and be in peace .
