Barbara Annette Knorzer
August 17, 1942 – February 8, 2021
It is with great sorrow that the family of Barbara Knorzer announces her unexpected passing on February 8, 2021. Barbara passed away at her home in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
Barbara was born in Burlington, Iowa. A daughter of Lyle B. and Martha Jane Jones. Barbara graduated in 1960 from Iowa City High School. After graduating she traveled to Southern California where she met the love of her life, Timothy J. Knorzer. They married in 1965 and started a Family soon after.
Barbara enjoyed being a loving wife and mother that guided her family with grace and compassion. Her support was evident at each Family event she attended; especially in the sports arena where her children and grandchildren competed. Barbara engaged in many activities with both family and friends; she loved a round of golf with Tim, camping in Bridgeport, California, and church services to name a few. Barbara’s kindness and talents touched so many through her joyful spirit and her astonishing crafts. Her beautiful eye for sewing, crafting, designing, and gardening was perfection.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, of 54 years, Timothy J. Knorzer. Barbara is survived by her Daughter, Elizabeth (Beth) Hastings, son-in-law, Rob, of New Smyrna Beach, Fl.; Son Timothy B.(Tim) Knorzer, daughter-in-law Rene, of Washoe Valley, NV., and five grandchildren Taylor, Lauren, Sydney, Jesse, and Spencer, Sister Lou Kessler, brother-in-law Jim of Coralville, Iowa., among many nieces and nephews.
Barbara’s beautiful treasures that she gave so many will never go unnoticed.
Per Barbara and Tim’s wishes there will be no service.
