Obituary

Barry W. Grover born March 8, 1943 passed away at his home, after a courageous year long battle with pancreatic cancer, on July 17, 2015. He was predeceased by his parents Al and Gertrude Grover and his sister, Carol. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 35 years, Marie A. Grover; his son Brandon Grover of Washington, DC; his step-daughter Kerry Maione of St. Augustine, Florida; his grandchildren Kayleigh and Mitchell; his siblings JoAnne Mulholland, Tina Dietz, Jill Gervasoni, Penny Malinofsky and step-sister Gena Haranis, also his sister-in-law Patricaia A. Sapan. Other survivors include his cherished nieces Tara and Alyssa Mulholland and nephew Conor Mulholland. Additional survivors are many dear nieces, nephews and friends near and far. Barry enjoyed a long and successful sales career beginning with Graybar electric in New Brunswick, NJ and then 20 years with Jostens, class ring and recognition company. He moved from Brick, NJ to The Villages in the fall of 2011 to begin a much anticipated retirement filled with golf and good times. Barry was blessed with special friends throughout his life who enjoyed his sense of humor and his willingness to always make time for laughter and fun. He will be remembered for his hook on the golf course, his ability to host a terrific party, his love for his cars and dogs and for always reminding us to never get too busy making a living that we forget to have a life. A memorial service will be held at New Covenant United Methodist Church, The Villages on Friday, August 7th at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to either Wounded Warriors or American Human Society. www.woundedwarriorproject.org or www.humanesociety.org
