Obituary
Belinda was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on July 25, 1955. She was a long-time resident of South Windsor, Enfield, and East Hartford, Connecticut, where she met her husband, Jerald Murphy. They were married on February 10, 1988, in a sunrise ceremony on a beach in Maui, Hawaii.
They made Englewood, Florida, their home in 1996, where they resided until her passing on October 15, 2025, at the age of 70, after courageously facing numerous health challenges. She passed away at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Venice, Florida, surrounded by her loved ones.
Belinda is survived by her sisters Lisa Ciotto and partner David, Colleen Kaplan and partner Nick, Billy Jo Phelps and husband Randy, Kelly Troche and husband Rex, and Patricia Santomenno and husband Steve, as well as her 16 beloved nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored and cherished. She was predeceased by her mother, Rose Walczak and stepfather Robert Walczak, her Father David MacMillan and brother David MacMillan, and her sisters Cindy Cote and Pamela Labrecque.
Belinda was beloved by all who knew her. She had a passion for travel, reading, cooking, and enjoying coffee. As a devoted daughter, sister, wife, aunt and friend, her warmth, kindness, and zest for life touched everyone around her, leaving a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be remembered fondly by her family and friends. She will be missed.
