Obituary

    Benjamin J. “Ted” Carroll, 83, of Titusville, Florida passed  away at the Edward M. Poe Care Center on Friday June 26, 2020. He was born on November 24, 1936 in Matewan, WV. Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas M. and Laura (Tinsley) Carroll and brother, Thomas M. Carroll II.  Benjamin is lovingly remembered by his sons Benjamin J. Carroll Jr. and Sean Carroll, both of Titusville, FL and grandson Kody. Other survivors include his sisters Ruby Diamond and  Gay Elkins of Orlando, Fl,  Patricia Walker of Davenport, FL, Jacqueline Davidson of Suffolk, VA, Corrine Stevens of Williamson, WV. Benjamin leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. Mr. Carroll was a veteran of the US Air Force. Private family burial will take place in W.Virginia at a later date. 

      Benjamin was a veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1964, he was stationed and did tours in Alaska, Texas, England and South Dakota. He retired in 1990 from the Masonite Corporation of Cincinnati, OH, and settled in Florida in 1993. Ted was a country boy with a Christian heart who enjoyed watching nature, his remains will be placed with his father in Matewan, West Virginia.

    First off, I love you Uncle Ted. You were always respected and admired for your raising two sons by yourself. I remember your addicting laugh and warm smile. I only wish I could had lived closer to spend more time with ALL. The summer I spent at your apt in Ohio was soo special. I got to spend time with your sons and get to see what strong young men (like their Dad) they were no doubt going to make you proud and they certainly have. Good Job Ted. Learning by example ALWAYS says a lot! You are in my heart tucked away where all my loves are protected and kept for me to reflect on from time to time. I love you Ben and Sean. My prayers are with you two at this time of sorrow.
    I am very fortunate to have had such good family ties no matter how far apart we may be. Our lives are forever intertwined via LOVE and CHRIST. God Bless.

    To an awesome uncle, who was very smart and a very loving person who enjoyed life and worked hard for his two sons and loved them with all his heart. He truly new when to be serious and when to tell good jokes. A lot of fun to be around, you are missed every day by all of the Davidson girls and your older sister Jacqueline Davidson as well from Portsmouth, VA. As my younger brother, you are missed so much and I love you with all my heart. I know in due time that I will see you at the golden gates of heaven, until then I know you are in great hands.
