Obituary

Beryl Samara Nun Lipoff, 73, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born in Atlantic City, NJ, and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Beryl later made Medford, NJ her home, where she lovingly raised her family. For the past 25 years, she lived in Sarasota, FL, where she thrived in the community she cherished.

As the valedictorian of her class at Philadelphia University, Beryl was a brilliant and determined woman. She devoted her professional life to working hand-in-hand with her husband, Barry, in the businesses they built together. Beyond her work, Beryl was an incredibly gifted artist, a prolific writer, and a voracious reader, who found beauty and inspiration in all forms of art.

Beryl’s true passion lay in advocating for animals, dedicating much of her time to finding homes for displaced pets. Her empathy and love for animals mirrored the kindness and patience she extended to everyone who knew her. Beryl’s heart was full of compassion—whether it was through her lifelong fight for women’s rights and equality, her love of the arts, or her unyielding loyalty to family and friends.

She is survived by her devoted husband of many years, Barry Lipoff, her loving children Joshua Lipoff and Elise Ramer, and her beloved granddaughter, Arielle Ramer. Beryl will be forever remembered for her warmth, her unwavering passion for justice, and the love she shared with those closest to her.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue, an organization close to Beryl’s heart.
