Obituary
Bette L. Davis, of N. Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully in her home on Feb 7, 2021, with loved ones by her side. Daughter of Philip Troyk and Louise Bishop, she was born in Morris, Illinois. She owned and operated Toddlers & Tots in Morris and The Clothes Closet in Pontiac, Illinois before moving to Florida in 1983.
She loved to knit, dance and sing karaoke. Her heart was closest to knitting, which she started at age 10. Since 2006, she knitted 10,000 hats for needy children around the world. She recently started Hats From the Heart, recruiting 9 wonderful women to assist with her cause. For those who knew her, she will be remembered for her kind and giving heart, her contagious personality, constant sense of humor and willingness to offer loving advice (even when not asked for. Sorry, Mom, LOL)
She is preceded in death by her parents, two infant daughters, and a son, Mike Davis. She is survived by Ken Atkinson of N. Ft. Myers, Florida, a daughter, Tracy (Davis) Goodwin of Chatham, Illinois, and a daughter-in-law Diane (Atkinson) Davis of Morris, Illinois. Other loved ones include: Sean Davis of Mazon, Illinois, Tony Davis of Morris, Illinois, Ryne Thorson of Chatham, Illinois, Michael Walker of Church Hill, Tennessee, Tammy (Atkinson) Reyes of Coal City, Illinois, and Stacey Atkinson of Morris, Illinois, plus 9 1/2 great grandchildren.
Per her wishes, there will be no services. Online condolences may be offered by visiting www.baldwincremation.com.
