Obituary
Betty Alderman, 80 of Fern Park, Florida, passed away on Wednesday ,August 28 ,2024.
Betty had a stroke almost four years ago while decorating her Christmas tree, from that point on she was under the care of her son and daughter in law ,Hank and Patricia Morgan.
She did well after her stroke even moving back to her condo with her daughter Jennifer ,but eventually moving back to live with Hank and Patricia for the last years of her life.
Betty was born in Wilmington, North Carolina on June 8th, 1944, she graduated New Hanover High School. She met Henry Morgan in her senior year and they had two sons.
After their divorce, she married Jack Alderman and they had a daughter, Jennifer.
Betty had a good life with plenty of adventure, she even rode her Harley to Sturgis during that mid-life phase. She was also an amazing cook, our family always looked forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas because that’s when she really shined. She also loved to decorate and did so anytime she got the chance, she would do many trees at Christmas for work and Family. She also loved to work ,her best years were at an Oncology practice with her daughter in law, after Pat left she stayed many more years until the night she had her stroke, she truly loved helping the patients and it broke her heart when she could no longer help.
She is survived by her son Hank Morgan of Winter Park, Florida. Son Steven Morgan and wife Lori Morgan of Massachusetts. Daughter Jennifer Alderman of Fern Park, Florida. Sister Judi Northrop and Husband Steve Hazen of Port Orange, Florida. Sister in Law Loretta Northrop of Ft. Pierce , Florida. Grandchildren Kyle Morgan and Cole Morgan of Winter Park, Florida. Ethan Morgan, Avery Morgan and Aubrey Morgan of Massachusetts. Ex Husband Henry Morgan of Winter Springs, Florida.
She was predeceased in death by Parents Doris Northrop, Rip Northrop. Husband Jack Alderman. Brother Joe Northrop. Daughter in Law and devoted caregiver Patricia Morgan.
