Betty Ann (Wycoff) Lenz, 73, of Deltona, Florida passed away May 18th, 2016, at Hospice of the Comforter, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Betty Ann grew up, attended school and married the father of her daughters in New Orleans, Louisiana. She lived in the Atlanta area and worked in the Consumer Electronics Field for eighteen years before retiring to Florida near her Grandson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Amy Elizabeth Wycoff of Sanford, Florida, Shannon Rose Wycoff of Orange Park, Florida, her sister Trudy Marie Lenz of New Orleans, Louisiana, Grandson Jacob Michael Horine of Deltona, Florida as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; William “Killer” Wycoff, her Mother & Father, two of her three siblings and many close friends.
She will be deeply missed by The Wycoff Family, The Lenz-King Families, The Busch Family, The Horine-Reasoner Family, Members of “Stitches” and “The Happy Hookers” knitting & crochet clubs of Volusia County and many caring, supportive long-time friends and neighbors.
Betty was proud to be a Breast Cancer Survivor. She was a “Guardian” for the 1996 Special Paralympics, and was also chosen to dance at the Half-Time show of Super Bowl XXVIII in Atlanta, Georgia. She enjoyed reading, cooking, watching The Food Network, being a BBQ grill-master and gardening.
She loved to care for her beloved cats; Gypsy and Annie, spending time with her daughters, knitting/crocheting with her friends in the knitting /crocheting social clubs, “Stitches” and “The Happy Hookers” of Volusia County. She treasured every moment that she spent with her only grandchild, Jacob Michael Horine.
She will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her. There will be no services and the family requests donations be sent to the American Cancer Society.
